Freddie Dolphus
Community Empowerment Organizer
Fredrick “Freddie” Dolphus joined BlaqOut in 2025 as Community Empowerment Organizer, where he plays a key role in supporting the organization’s programs, projects, and events aimed at mobilizing and empowering the Black LGBTQ+ community and its allies.
Previously, Freddie was selected as a member of BlaqOut’s 2024 Leadership Academy (LEAD) Fellowship, a capacity-building initiative designed to equip the next generation of Black LGBTQ+ leaders with the skills and resources needed to thrive and lead change in their communities.
Beyond his work in advocacy and empowerment, Freddie is also deeply passionate about health and wellness. Since 2016, he has been an ACE-certified personal trainer and has spent over five years instructing boxing and martial arts. As an amateur fighter, he is trained in both boxing and mixed martial arts and holds a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Professor Claudio Mattos.
Freddie is committed to sharing his love for fitness with others, particularly within marginalized communities. He views physical wellness as a powerful tool for self-connection and believes that movement can foster a deeper, more authentic relationship with our bodies and ourselves.
