A Historic First
The BlaqBox, powered by BlaqOut, represents a historic milestone for Kansas City, offering Black LGBTQ+ community members and our allies a permanent space to gather, create, and connect for the first time in the city’s history!
Since opening our doors, The BlaqBox has been home to meaningful conversations, joyful celebrations, artistic expression, community organizing, and transformative moments that continue to shape our shared story.
To ensure the space remains accessible, we offer a sliding-scale rental model, with rates starting at $50 per hour for local community members and organizations, $150 per hour for nonprofit organizations, and $250 per hour for corporations and private events.

Please note: The BlaqBox is not available for private social events such as birthday parties, baby showers, or weddings. BlaqOut reserves the right to decline events that do not align with our organizational values.
